CalcLink

CalcLink allows you to set up kernel sharing in a very flexible manner: You can have the Mathematica front end and Calc and the CalcPad share the same kernel (and thus share common symbols), you can have the Mathematica front end and the CalcPad sharing a kernel with Calc having its own kernel, and you can share a kernel between the Mathematica front end and either Calc or the CalcPad alone.
